Although she drew constantly as a child, Carol Cumbo Roberts did not seriously pursue her interest until her two sons were in school. Since then she has continuously worked to improve her painting skills by attending numerous classes and workshops. In the beginning she preferred painting in watercolors, but now she paints mainly in oil.

Lucia Massei was born in Pisa, Italy and graduated with a degree in Fine Arts and Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence in 1985.
