The beautiful Cornwall Coast is immortalized in kiln formed glass sculptures. But these are not sculptures that try to convey only beauty, Stephen Beardsell shows us how the waves and wind mold and sculpt the coast, in dramatic angular works that perfectly capture the force and movement of the waves, flecked with rock sediments alongside the cracks and spectacular shapes created by erosion. Even the greens and blues of the sea, the ripples, cleanliness of the water, but also the muddiness and complexity of a process that constantly alters not only the landscape, but also the lives of people on the coastline are perfectly captured. It’s no wonder since Mr. Beardsell began working on this series after spending time camping in the area.
