A master of a wide variety of media, David Brady creates these beautiful collages by adding and mixing discarded objects to and with his paintings, sketches and drawings. Whatever he finds, wires, feathers, threads, flowers, even Bible pages are used to explore the human figure and condition. The featured collages are part of his ongoing series of paintings and collages “Lost and Found” and “Politicking”.
David Brady is a self taught artist. As a child he struggled with a chronic illness which kept him indoors, forcing him to use his imagination to expand his horizons. Since the 1980s his collages have been featured in various one-man and group exhibitions around the world. You can also find his works in numerous publications, including the books “Lost and Found” and “Hard Time Trouble”, a collaboration with poet Roger Trammell.
