Working with a variety of materials, from sterling silver and niobium to leaves and wood, Marina Sheetikoff explores shapes and textures in her quest to “go beyond the adornment”. And her pieces manage to do just that: fun, colorful explorations into volume made from the hypoallergenic niobium; detailed, delicate tiaras that celebrate femininity or the show stopping rings and bracelets with fragile leaves. Personal touches can be seen in each of her works: she collects her materials and some of her jewelry even features profiles of family and friends. Ms. Sheetikoff is a celebrated jeweler whose works have been featured in numerous publications, fashion shows, opera and theater productions.
