Hauntingly wide-eyed innocent girls, benevolent female spirits and goddesses are the main characters in Paolo Pedroni’s digital paintings. In perilous situations or roaming, their gazes are piercing. With ethereal bodies with supernatural features, they seem to be from some magical land, pleading for help, scared, but hopeful they’ll escape. Color is used to set the mood: cold grays for cold, rainy days and storms, ethereal, icy whites for a broken hearted beauty, vivid blues, warm reds and yellows for their gazes and centerpiece of the bittersweet story he creates.
Born in Brescia, Italy, Paolo Pedroni graduated from the Art School of Brescia and studied interior design in Milan. Although he works in interior design, he discovered digital painting as a mean to express his emotions. He has exhibited in galleries in Spain, the United States, Canada and Italy in shows such as “Images from Outer Space”, “Rock’N Dolls”, “Blythecon Europe 2013” and “This is so Contemporary”.
